HAPKIDO PHILOSOPHY LESSONS CONCLUSION Welcome to your philosophy and culture lesson for today from the USA Hapkido Union. I am Instructor Ma, your USA Hapkido Union language, culture, and character development teacher. Today’s Lesson is sponsored by www.USAHapkidoUnion.org In today’s lesson we discuss the conclusion of our Hapkido philosophy series.
This series is to teach us some of the reasons that martial artists should study philosophy. This lesson comes from the book, “Be a Life Champion: The Martial Arts Way”. Let’s begin. Conclusion The study of philosophy is a huge undertaking. This series of lessons describes in detail ten different philosophical ideologies that parallel the study of martial arts. A Hapkido practitioner who understands the basic principles of philosophy also understands that they need focus in their martial art practice and a better understanding of their purpose and place in the world. Most martial artists evolve from physical technique to engaging a new mindset. This is especially true of anyone who will become a good Hapkido teacher someday. Every step of the way, this lifelong journey is continually woven with long established philosophical questions that deserve further exploration. If you are a martial artist, consider reviewing some of the philosophical concepts, including the ten identified here in this series, to improve your life’s balance, personal power, and truth. To understand oneself through martial arts is the greatest gift ever.
