1. Master the Fundamentals: Repetition is the Mother of Skill

Hapkido’s beauty lies in its seemingly simple techniques. However, mastering these fundamentals requires dedicated practice. It may not sound exciting, but it’s the foundation for everything else. Here’s how to make repetition an active learning experience:

  • Focus on Form: Each movement has a specific purpose, so prioritize proper form over speed or power. Pay close attention to footwork, balance, and hand/body positioning.
